The opposing twists in fibers and rope give it structural integrity, but make it more susceptible to abrasion damage. Nylon has great strength and handles easier than other synthetics. BoatTector Twisted Nylon Lines will not float. This product is intended for non-critical consumer applications. Not to be used for overhead lifting, or in applications with a risk of death, personal injury or property damage.
